SME units, offices and showrooms under development in Duffel barely 4 kilometres from the E19 (Rumst) and close to the N14 Mechelen - Lier.  The former industrial estate of joinery company Boeynaems & Zonen is being transformed into the brand-new Wouw business park.  

Wouw, named after the Wouwendonkse Loop that flanks the business park, will offer space for numerous local companies to do business with a focus on SME and craft activities. Three collective business buildings will be erected, good for 21 high-quality SME units and additional offices and showrooms with a surface area of 200 m2 to 475 m2.

This new entrepreneurial biotope on the Nete river is strategically located in the Mechelen - Lier - Antwerp triangle, close to Duffel station and centre. It resolutely opts for sustainability by focusing on solar energy, well thought-out water management and maximum preservation of existing greenery. The project is embedded in a green perimeter, which makes the setting of the business park exceptionally pleasant and unique.

The units will be equipped with, among other things:

• Electricity and water meters, including low-voltage panel
• Basic fire prevention provision (fire regulations fire class C)
• Solar panels on each unit
• Waiting tube for placement of charging pole to unit
• Drains for faecal and domestic wastewater
• Rainwater infiltration (wadis) and water recovery
• Greenery integrated into the project
• More daylight thanks to skylights
• Emergency lighting at emergency exit
